The main advantage of using WPS to connect the devices you’re using is that it’s easy and convenient to do. Once all of this is done the two devices should be connected as they would be by pressing a WPS button.

When you do that, all that remains is to click apply and that means that the WPS will now be turned on and operational. Below that you’ll see a “WPS” option and you should check the “on” button. In that menu, you’ll see a “Turn Wireless On “section. After that, you should click Basic Security Settings from the menu that will appear on the left. Once you enter these you’ll be able to log in and enable WPS on a router.

However, within the Spectrum Router status page, it shows "Primary IP4: 97.38.x.x".The first thing to do is to access the router settings options. Note: My static IP is supposed to be 24.38.x.x, and Googling "what is my IP" shows it as this.

They said if I clone the mac to my Netgear, I can just remove their router and go back to my Netgear being plugged directly into the modem.
Other users on this subreddit suggested this, but I wasn't sure if it would work. Option 2: Clone the mac address and static IP/gateway of the Spectrum Router to my Netgear. Does anyone have experience with opening ports on the Spectrum Router successfully? Was there a setting I missed? I tried this yesterday, they were still showing as closed when you used Open Port Checker websites. Option 1: Setup Port forwarding within the Spectrum router, and remove ours. We also need to use our router because of a few port forwarding rules we have set up.
Spectrum Business installed their own router (rac2v1a) and said it was required to have a static IP.
